FAQs

This page covers common questions people have when looking into chiropractic care or considering their first visit. The goal is to make the process simple, clear, and comfortable so you know what to expect and can feel confident moving forward. If you don’t see your question here, the office is always happy to help—just reach out and someone will walk you through anything you need.

What is chiropractic care?

Chiropractic focuses on restoring proper function to the body by improving the alignment and movement of the spine and joints. When the spine moves the way it should, the nervous system can work more efficiently, helping the body heal and operate at its best. This approach supports people dealing with pain, tension, restricted movement, and other discomforts caused by misalignment or nerve irritation.

Do adjustments hurt?

Most adjustments are gentle and comfortable. Some people feel immediate relief, while others notice changes over a few visits as the body adapts. The goal is always to use the most precise and appropriate adjustment for your specific situation. If you ever feel tense or unsure, the doctor can walk you through the process so you know exactly what to expect.

What can chiropractic help with?

Chiropractic care may help with back pain, neck pain, headaches, migraines, sciatica, extremity issues, posture problems, and general stiffness. It also supports overall wellness by improving how the nervous system communicates with the rest of the body. Many people choose care even when they aren’t in pain because it helps them function better throughout daily life.

Do you take X-rays?

Yes we X-ray everyone that comes through our doors, this is a crucial part of the Gonstead Analysis and removes the guess work for your journey back to health. X-rays are the road map to show us what you have been through in life. They show us how healthy your nervous system is, or more importantly where you are not functioning at your best.

How long does an appointment take?

The first appointment typically takes longer because it includes a full evaluation, consultation, and images of your full spine. Follow-up visits are usually quicker, focusing on the adjustment and any additional care needed for that day. The goal is efficiency without rushing so you always receive quality care.

Do you work with kids and families?

Yes, care is available for children, adults, seniors, pregnant women, and families. Kids often respond well to gentle, specific adjustments, and many families choose chiropractic to support healthy development and better function. The techniques used are always age-appropriate and tailored to each person.

Do I need a referral?

No referral is needed. You can schedule a visit whenever you’re ready. If you’re unsure whether chiropractic can help your situation, the office can answer questions and guide you through what to expect during an initial visit.

How many visits will I need?

Every person’s plan is different. Some people feel improvement quickly, while others need more time due to chronic issues, old injuries, or lifestyle demands. The doctor will outline a plan based on your goals, the condition of your spine and joints, and how your body responds to care.

What should I wear?

We have everyone in a gown to allow access to the spine so we can properly analyze you each visit. The gown completely covers the front of your body and opens to the back so that only your spine is visible during your visit.

Reaching out to the office is the easiest way. You can call, message online, or stop by during open hours. The team will help you schedule a visit, answer questions, and walk you through what to expect on your first day.
